Seven children, twenty adults and one very lively little dog, braved the cold wind and did their best to look cheerful while they cycled round or near Siblyback Lake at our Easter Family Cycle Day. Participants were rescued from the cold by the hot drinks, burgers and hot dogs provided by the team at the Rock Hopper Café. A very big thank you to Wendy and her team at Rock Hopper for looking after us all so well – and to Nigel, Beth and South West Lakes Trust for allowing us to run the event on their premises and supporting us so brilliantly throughout the day.
Our Liskeard Velo group met as usual in Liskeard and cycled out round Colliford to Jamaica Inn, joining the rest of us for the BBQ.
Siblyback is a truly wonderful local facility for cyclists young and old wanting to build their confidence. Hopefully we can return when the weather is warmer!
