Wednesday 14th September, 2016 – gentle sunny evening ride to Victoria Inn, Pensilva – and the first hints of our new Easy Rider group!

Our route  11.34 miles; 300m climb.

What a great September – shorts and short sleeves again yesterday evening and a pleasant tootle along the lanes via Pengover Green, Merrymeet and Blunts to Pensilva.  Here joined again by Dave and Mary Ball who brought positive news with Dave finally being allowed to take to his turbo trainer for ten minutes.  Fingers crossed now, Dave, for a steady recovery.

Most of our group had colourful reports of their trip over Dartmoor the previous Friday to applaud the efforts of the Tour of Britain team with steep hills, strong winds and early start/late finish providing a bit of a theme.  Well done to everyone who managed the trip.

Also a report back from CTC Cornwall committee members that a new Liskeard Men’s Easy Rider Group would be starting in March 2017.  Short confidence building rides for men who want to get started with their road cycling again – with a café stop, of course. Sounds great – looking forward to further details.
