2nd October 2015 – nine Liskeard Ladies cycle to Seaton in the sun

What a treat!  Glorious sunshine for this ride and, after using the centre of Liskeard for a bit of a fashion parade to try on our new Liskeard Ladies Jerseys,  nine of us set off along Pengover Road, up the hill into Pengover Green – four of us now clad in luminous green!  Here we paused to check we were all in one piece, so to speak, and then turned right and along the ridgeway through Doddy Cross and Bethany to Trerulefoot.  We walked our bikes across a very busy A38 for a quick loo stop at the garage and then up the hill to Bake.  Another couple of miles and we emerged on the A387 – then right down the hill to Hessenford and left along the  B3247 into Seaton.  Here we headed for Waves Café for our coffee and cake, our panoramic view of Seaton beach and to meet up with Geoff (who had brought the lorry to take us home) and various other partners and friends.

We hope that our November ride will be via the scenic route to the cycle hub café at Lanhydrock.
